Piano Lessons for Ages 9–12 in Las Vegas — Growing into a Real Musician, with Dr. Maria
By ages 9 to 12, a young pianist is ready to go further — richer repertoire, real expression, and serious competitions. This is exactly where my conservatory training and competition experience make the difference: I help each student build advanced technique and genuine artistry, the way I was trained and the way I've prepared award-winning students.
Students deepen their reading, master advanced technique, learn theory, and play with real expression. Many are ready for festivals, graded exams, and competitions — achievements that build discipline, focus, and pride. These same habits strengthen academic performance and develop the abstract, analytical thinking that helps in math and beyond, alongside a performer's creativity and poise. With me, that progress is guided by an international competition winner and university professor — so your child is always aiming at the highest standard.
Even if your child plays another instrument, piano is the foundation that ties all of music together. Each student follows an individual, custom-paced plan taught personally by me, a concert pianist — building a growing record of achievement on the path toward the teen years and beyond.
Piano lessons for ages 9–12 in Las Vegas
Tweens want to sound like the music they love, and they are ready for more. Dr. Maria Pisarenko helps them read fluently, play with expression, and enjoy it, whether that means Minecraft, Stranger Things, Taylor Swift or Chopin.

Song titles are examples of music students ask about. Dr. Maria arranges them to each student’s level, so recognizable music comes early.
Lessons for the whole Las Vegas valley
Lessons take place at Dr. Maria’s private studio in Spring Valley and online. Families from across the valley are welcome, including Summerlin, Henderson, Green Valley, Spring Valley, Southwest Las Vegas, Enterprise, Mountain’s Edge, Rhodes Ranch, Centennial Hills and North Las Vegas.
